Castool started their business in 1986, as Castool Precision Turning and Honing. We specialised in turning and honing hardened material. We also machined bearing housings for a few of the bearing manufacturers. As the business grew we branched out into other hardened cylindrical tooling such as extrusion stems, containers and shot sleeves. Castool changed their name to Castool Precision Tooling. As our product lines evolved, we changed the name again to Castool Tooling Systems. Castool started shipping to extruders and die casters in most countries in the world from the Uxbridge location. In the early 2000’s, more than 90% of our products were exported from Canada.
The plant today is approximately 85,000 sq ft and has 20 Tons lifting and machining capabilities.

Castool had many customers in Japan, Korea, India and Australia. To better service these customers and grow our business we decided to build a plant in Chonburi, Thailand in 2013. The plant today ships extrusion and die cast tooling to most countries in Asia.
The plant is approximately 45,000 sq ft and has 25 M Tons lifting and machining capabilities.
90 Kenitra Morocco
To better serve our customers in Europe, Middle East and Africa, we decided to build a plant in Kenitra, Morocco in 2022. The plant is approximately 35,000 sq ft and has 35 M Tons lifting and machining capabilities.

Castool Uxbridge uses approximately 4,000,000 lbs of tool steel per year. All this material is heat treated and nearly half is nitride prior to use. At the same time, our customers’ size of equipment and tooling is growing, and quality/longevity expectations are increasing. We decided in 2023 to install our own heat treatment and nitride equipment.
Our factory is approximately 6,000 sq ft and has 3 IPSEN vacuum heat treat ovens, 1 NITREX vacuum nitride oven and 4 temper ovens. The maximum size we can heat treat is 20,000 lbs or 60” dia X 90”. The maximum size we can nitride is 13,200 lbs or 61” dia X 98.5”.
